• SHIRA ENTIS

    What’s your name?
    Shira Entis.

    Hometown?
    Newton, Massachusetts.

What do you do for a living?
Designer and run a handbag company called Fleabags.

What kind of perfumes do you typically go for?
I like earthy, light musky scents. Scents that are so subtle you can only smell them when you are very close.

What’s your earliest memory of perfume?
Definitely snooping through my mother’s vanity when I was 5-ish.

What perfume did you wear at age 13?
It was an amazing perfume called Blue Musk made by a store in the local mall. It wasn’t a typical mall store but a really cute independent shop called Pepper’s. They went out of business when I was 14, but I have held onto the last few drops in my final bottle for the last 20 years.

What perfume did you wear at age 16?
I think I let my deodorant do the talking in those years.

What perfume did you wear at age 22?
    Stella McCartney.

    Favorite comfort smells?
Wood burning in a fireplace in winter, lilacs, honey lip balm from the Body Shop.

What did your home growing up smell like?
We had a lot of animals - birds, a rabbit, turtle and dogs. So I am sure my house smelled kind of funky but I never noticed.

    What’s your sign?
    Capricorn.
