    I’m a French teacher in the Bronx.

    Fresh and clean.

    What’s your earliest memory of perfume? 
    My grandmother’s - Estée Lauder “Pleasures”.  

    What perfume did you wear at age 13? 
    Gap - “Heaven”.

    What perfume did you wear at age 16? 
    Nothing, although by age 18 I had been given Lolita Lempicka by a boyfriend’s mom. It was very heavy and reminded me of being in France.

    What perfume did you wear at age 22? 
    I aspired to owning Chanel’s “Chance”. 

    Favorite comfort smells? 
    Pine, dusty wood, old books, moss, salt water.

    What did your home growing up smell like? 
    My first impulse is to say laundry, but it was probably dogs. That and my parents’ scents - Diorissimo for my mom and Eau Sauvage for my dad.
